Overview
We Love Reading (WLR) is YLA's flagship literacy initiative that fosters a love of reading for pleasure while building confidence, language, and lifelong learning habits among children.
In 2017 Adv. Vahed was appointed a Literacy Ambassador by the Department of Basic Education. Through his reading presentations at schools he has reached 5,000+ learners in the past two years alone.
In addition, in 2025, the Young Leaders Academy partnered with Taghyeer, an independent non-profit organization in Jordan, and introduced their We Love Reading programme in South Africa.
